Welcome to this week’s newsletter. We are excited to announce our next MICS session focusing on the intersection of data science and sustainable materials, along with a major update on how you can access award-winning design optimization tools through AAL.
🎙️ Upcoming MICS: Dr. Tanya Tsui
For our next MICS showcase, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Tanya Tsui, a researcher at Leiden University’s Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML). With a rich background spanning TU Delft and the MIT Senseable City Lab, Dr. Tsui’s work sits at the cutting edge of spatial data science, urban planning, and material transitions.
During the session, she will discuss her leadership on the RAW Project, where she uses GIS to map the availability of bio-based construction materials across Europe. We will also explore her broader work on circular cities and how spatial modeling can optimize material flows to significantly reduce construction-related emissions.
Date: 13th July, 2026
Time: 8:00-9:00 PM GMT+8
