This week, we want to highlight an important new resource that just became available for practices of all sizes: the AIA AI Firm Toolkit Assessment

🔍 What is the AIA AI Firm Toolkit Assessment?

Developed by the AIA AI Task Force, this toolkit provides a structured way for architecture firms to evaluate where they currently stand with AI and figure out what to do next. The core of the toolkit is an interactive assessment designed to measure a firm’s current “AI maturity level.”

Instead of generalized advice, the assessment helps you understand your firm’s specific position—whether you are just starting out with ad-hoc individual experiments or are already moving toward integrating AI systematically into your practice.

💡 What Does This Mean for Your Practice?

The conversation around AI in architecture is shifting from “what can this technology do?” to “how do we actually implement it safely and effectively?”

For a lot of firms—especially small and mid-sized practices—the hardest part of AI adoption is governance and strategy. The AIA toolkit bridges this gap by offering:
