In our latest MICS session, architect Rada Daleva shared how she integrates AI into the architectural design process. Rather than focusing solely on speed or automation, Rada discussed how AI can be used to enhance spatial quality, improve contextual response, and focus on user well-being. It was a fascinating look at how emerging tech can support timeless, human-centered architecture.

🇭🇰 The AI June Mandate: Session Wrap-Up
We also hosted our first AAL Intelligence Briefing to break down the Hong Kong Development Bureau’s new Technical Circular (Works) No. 3/2026, which formally mandates AI adoption across capital works projects.
The key takeaway is that this is no longer a future consideration—it is active policy. For firms handling consultancy contracts over HKD 15M or works contracts over HKD 30M, AI integration is now a requirement. During the session, we mapped out the specific types of AI required, the enhanced CITF funding available to support implementation, and the first steps firms need to take to remain compliant and competitive.
